A friend had recommended this album to me last year. On multiple occasions actually. I’d never gotten around to listening to it, but fast forward to last night I did, and it was great listen.

Frog is a two-man guitar group based out of Queens, New York. Count Bateman dropped back in August of 2019, and serves as the groups fourth album following 2018’s Whatever We Probably Had It. It’s a pretty quick listen at 10 tracks and a bit over 30 minutes.

It doesn’t conform to any trends or what’s bubbling in the indie scene right now. It’s timeless. Classic pianos and acoustic guitars are laced throughout. The soft instrumentation pairs great with the quirky voice of the groups lead singer Tom White. He’s got a knack for melodies that keep you engaged. He’s not the greatest singer, but knows his limits. He has one of those perfectly imperfect voice. Has a lot of character. Check it out!
