Glaive Drops, "Old Dog, New Tricks" EP

by Jack Shapiro

Up-and-coming hyperpop star Glaive is back with a new EP old dogs, new tricks. The EP is a follow-up to the all dogs go to heaven EP he dropped back in August of last year.

This one is five tracks long with more than half the track’s production being handled by Australian producer Perto. It also features production from Whethan (who worked a lot on the previous EP), Jeff Hazin, Nick Ferraro, Andrew Goldstein, and legendary Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The five-track offering also includes the previously released single, “prick” (which you can watch the music video for below).

Glaive’s been on a hot streak as of late. After the all dogs go to heaven EP, he dropped another EP entitled then i’ll be happy, with frequent collaborator ericdoa which was followed up with a tour. You can check out their EP here

He definitely does try out some new sounds on this. He dabbles with some trap drums on some of the tracks, and on others we see him singing over some groovier instrumentals than we have in the past. Check it out!

Have a good one!
