Happy Friday and Happy February!

Another week, some more drops. I don’t know if I’m blanking or what today but I don’t really have much to say. But, I will say, music is sick. The soundtrack to our lives. Something to comfort in our best moments and at our worst. Pretty damn cool.

I also want to say, I’ve been working super hard on the magazine. That’s coming soon. Expect some time at the beginning of the Spring. But be on the lookout for more information on our Instagram!

Alright, let’s get into these new drops: 

“Doja” by $not featuring A$AP Rocky – This song is so sick. I like the beat a lot. Rocky’s verse is great, and $not brings a ton of energy. I’m a fan. Be on the lookout $not’s new album Ethereal coming out next week. And check out the music video here.

Few Good Things by Saba – Saba releases the follow-up to the critically acclaimed CARE FOR ME. He said “The concept of this album is the realization of self after a search for exterior fulfillment,” in regards to the project. There’s also a short film accompanying the album, which you can watch on Livestream on Moment House (tickets here). The album is also loaded with great features from Smino, to 6lack, to Fousheé. Be sure to check it out.

“SAOKO” by ROSALIA – Really fun track! Very danceable and the vocals are great. Very creative with multiple different passages throughout the song. She has her album Motomami set to release this year as well!

“Do We Have A Problem” by Nicki Minaj – Great song. And her first new music (other than extra cuts added to previous projects) since 2018. It’s a pretty standard braggadocious track. But she sounds great over the beat and Lil Baby does his thing. Give it a listen.

“Scared Money” by YG featuring J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo – Another banger. Pretty classic YG. Also, J. Cole is just doing victory laps at this point.

Dope Don’t Sell Itself by 2Chainz – 2Chainz return of his So Help Me God! project from late 2020. Following the release of that project, he noted that this project will be his last trap album. Shoutout 2Chainz for an awesome run.

“Beach Boy” by BENEE – BENEE is back for the release of a new single. Similar to the last release “Doesn’t Matter”, this one also has a melancholic tone to it. Both great tracks, and props to BENEE for evolving her sound.

“Softly” by Arlo Parks – Super groovy track. About the final days of a relationship you know is going to end, but don’t want it to. We’ve all been there. Check it out this is an awesome track.

“Lightning Of July” – Another great indie track from Baird. If you want to know more about the track, check out the full-length article here!
