Pusha T is back! His first new music since 2019, and he’s back with a bang. The new song, which dropped last night, is produced by Ye and 88-Keys. The track also comes along with a music video, featuring Ye as well. The video’s linked at the bottom of the article!
The song heavily features a Fat Joe sample, which you can hear throughout the song, and in the beginning when he says “yesterday’s price is not today’s price”. Classic Pusha T here.
But, regardless of the song’s themes and that of many before it, he suggested a bit of a departure from the “coke rap” we’re used to from Push. He said in a tweet “Welp this album is abt feeding the conscious mind. I hope you aren’t disappointed…I’m growing up…”
His manager Steven Victor also told Complex the album is coming “sooner than you think” and Pusha T himself said he thinks it “1000% tops Daytona”. The upcoming album also features production from Ye and The Neptunes.
We’ll have to see how everything turns out. In the meantime, close collaborator Ye is slated to drop DONDA 2 in exactly two weeks, and I’m sure Pusha T played a big role in that. So there’s that to look forward to until we have a more solid release.
Have a good one!
