Denzel Curry officially has kicked off a brand new era with the release of his new single, “Walkin”. The song is produced by Kal Banx, who is well-known for his recent work on Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning.

The track is an introspective cut, kicking off with a soul sample over a boom-bap beat. Then there’s a beat switch about a third of the way through to kick off a new section. The rest of the song is connected, the soul sample stays the same, but this section has a hook as well. It’s a good listen, and a creative effort to kick off the Denzel Curry era.

The new cut also comes with a music video. It features Curry making his way through a desert. I’m not going to say too much, you should just check it out below for yourself. I will say it’s shot beautifully though.

Curry also announced the Melt My Eyez US and European headlining tour in support of the album. He’ll hit the road with Kenny Mason, Mike Dimes, Redveil, and Playthatboizay. Mike Dimes will cover the first half of the American tour, while Redveil will cover the second half (with the exception of two shows). The tour will feature Kenny Mason and Playthatboizay at all shows, US and European dates.
