Gunna to release new album 'DS4' Friday

by Jack Shapiro

Atlanta rapper Gunna has officially announced the release date for his new album Drip Season 4, for this Friday, January 7th. He also noted that this will be the last installment of the ‘Drip Season’ series, the series that played a large part in him reaching the level of success he’s at now. Drip Season 3 dropped back in 2018, Drip Season 2 dropped back in 2017, and the original Drip Season was released in 2016.

He didn’t reveal anything in terms of tracklist or features, but there will likely be familiar faces. Expect guys like Lil Baby, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, and Travis Scott, who have all been on previous projects.

He also revealed the cover, which you can find below. It’s designed by visual artist Daniel Arsham. It takes a lot from his signature ancient statue-style. If you’re interested in looking at more of his work HYPEBEAST has written a number of articles on him. I took a quick look through writing this, he created a whole exhibit of crystallized Pokémon, which I thought was sick. You can check that out here.
